Order Taking Period, January 11 – February 3, 2008
Girl Scouts will be taking pre-orders for cookies that will be delivered starting Feb. 29th.

Delivery & Booths Sales, February 29 – March 16, 2008
Girl Scouts will be delivering pre-orders, and selling cookies door-to-door and at booth sales throughout the community.

 

About the Cookie Sale

Individual Girl Scout troops have been selling cookies as fundraiser as early as 1917, only five years after Juliette Gordon Lowe founded the Girl Scout movement in the United States. Since then it has become a part of American culture as well as the premier financial literacy program for girls.

Girls who participate in the Girl Scout cookie sale learn valuable life skills in leadership, teamwork, goal setting, and commitment.

If there is no knock on your door from a friendly cookie-selling Girl Scout, you’re still in luck!  Starting February 29th, our famous cookies will be sold outside of grocery and retail stores.  You’ve looked forward to them all year and with eight tasty varieties, it may be a difficult choice! For more information on where to find a booth sale, please contact us. Cookies are just $3.50 a box.

By purchasing Girl Scout cookies you are supporting girls within your community by helping fund programs such as troop activities, special camps and outreach programs.  Cookie sales also help girls develop a wide range of valuable life lessons such as communication, entrepreneurial and teamwork skills.
